Was in the mall yesterday and stopped by the Apple Store. Much to my surprise, they had a few 3G iPhones in stock. While I have been relatively steadfast in my stance of ‘not needing’ one, I broke down and gave in. First impressions are good. It’s lighter, thinner, and faster. Still need to buy an outrageously overprice cover, but other than that, it is what it is.
I’m not the biggest fan of the slightly yellow tinted screen, but I’ll deal.
Finally, I’ve had about 5 people ask me what I’m doing with my old phone, and I’d love nothing more than to ‘pay it forward’. But in the interest of being fair (oh and not pissing off the 4 people who didn’t get the phone who asked), my King Solomon like decision will be to eBay the phone…for truly on the phone’s true owner would rightfully bid enough to have the phone in their hands!!! Wait…that kinda doesn’t make any sense. Anywho…the phone will be on eBay. Sorry to the unlucky (hopefully forgiving) 5 people who inquired!
For those of you that don’t know, I’m a borderline Apple fanboy, meaning that I proudly own a bunch of their products. So…to this end, below is a list of all the Apple products I have accumulated:
- MacBook Pro (17″ 2.6Ghz Penryn, 4GB RAM, 200GB 7200rpm HD, High Res LED Display)
- iPhone 8GB (First Generation)
- iPod Shuffle (1GB)
- Apple Mighty Mouse
- Apple Keyboard
So…what is the next Apple product I’m going to buy?!?! Well, it looks like I’ll be finally upgrading the new 3G iPhone…but I’m waiting until my current warranty runs out. Also, it looks like I can get $350 on eBay for my old iPhone, so I may hold out until that approaches $400. We’ll see…
